Mexican Redknee Tarantulas are carnivorous hunters, feeding mostly on insects, small lizards, and even the occasional mouse. They don't use webs to catch their prey—instead, they ambush it and use their fangs to inject venom that helps break down the meal. Though they have venom, it’s mild and not dangerous to humans. If threatened, they’re more likely to flick tiny, irritating hairs from their abdomen than bite. Their calm demeanor and stunning colors make them ideal animal ambassadors, helping visitors appreciate spiders in a whole new way!
