Bamboo Catsharks are native to the shallow, tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, especially around coral reefs and sandy sea floors. They prefer warm, coastal environments where they can easily tuck into crevices, under coral ledges, or between rocks during the day. These sharks are nocturnal, meaning they rest in hidden spots while the sun is up and become active at night when they head out to hunt. Their coloring helps them stay hidden from both predators and prey as they glide close to the ocean bottom.
