In the wild, Ball Pythons are found across the grasslands, savannas, and forests of central and western Africa. They prefer warm, tropical climates and often take shelter in termite mounds, rodent burrows, or under logs to stay cool during the hottest part of the day. These snakes are mostly nocturnal, meaning they’re most active at night when they venture out to hunt. Because of their secretive lifestyle, they’re excellent at hiding, and their natural camouflage helps them stay safe from predators.
