These lizards are natural climbers and diggers, often seen scrambling over stones or burrowing into the sandy soil to stay cool. Because they’re used to intense heat, they love a warm habitat and are most active during the daytime, especially in the morning and late afternoon.

In the wild, Ackie Monitors are carnivorous and love hunting for insects, small reptiles, and even eggs. They use their strong claws and quick reflexes to dig, pounce, and snatch up prey.
